A five-day long Digital ICT Fair-2018 began yesterday at Computer City Centre in the capital with the slogan “Digital Literacy for Everyone”, reports BSS.
Computer City Centre Owners’ Association is organising the fair aiming to unlock economic potential of IT sector.
Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar inaugurated the fair at a function as the chief guest.
Over 650 shop owners and computer brands are taking part in the fair with special offers that is attracting people of all ages.
The fair also features art competition for children, cultural programmes, gaming zone and raffle draw.
With Computer City Centre President and fair convener Toufiq Ahsan in the chair, the programme was addressed, among others, by Asia Pacific University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Jamilur Reza Chowdhury, FBCC President Md Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), Awami League (AL) general secretary of city south unit Shahe Alam Murad, Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) President Ali Ashfaq, Bangladesh Dokan Malik Samity Chairman Md Helal Uddin, Dhaka South City Councilor (Ward 18) Jashim Uddin Ahmed.
