GAZIPUR: Two men were killed and three other injured in a collision between a bus and a human hauler in Peyara Bagan area of the city on Friday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased were identified as Gias Uddin, hailing from Mymensingh and Ratan Mandal of Faridpur.

Inspector Abdul Hye of Naujor Highway Police outpost, said the collision took place between the bus and the human hualer (locally named as Leguna) while the human hauler was overtaking a rickshaw, leaving five people critically injured. Later, the injured were rushed to Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared the duo dead.

Meanwhile, at least four people were killed and two others injured in two separate road accidents at MC Bazar in Sreepur upazila and Tongi on Wednesday morning.

In Tongi, an 'Anabil Paribahan' bus hits Mofiz while he was crossing the road at Tongi around 8:00am, leaving him dead on the spot, said Firoz Talukdar, officer-in-charge of Tongi Model Police Station.
