Oboyob Natyadal will stage their play ‘Pheriwala’ today evening at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in Segun Bagicha of the capital. The play will be brought to the stage as a part of the three-day festival organised by Sattik Natya Sampraday to mark the Mirpur Freedom Day (January 31).  

Directed by Shahidul H Khan and scripted by Asaduzzaman, the play will be performed by Kazi Delwar Hemonto, Mahmud Hasan Joni, Francolin Sarkar, Tanjiba Akter, Md Hannan, Tanvir Hasnain, Apurba Das, Md Habib, Abu Sayeed, Nazmul Islam Dulal, AH Diman, Ongkon and others.

The story of the play presents the struggle of a family of lower caste reflecting the existing centuries-old usurpation in society.

Light design of the play has been done by Aneek Rahman, while Kazi Delowar Hemonto designed costume.
