Recently, the 2017 National Science and Technology Awards were announced in Beijing. Yunnan won six second prizes, including one by Yunnan Agricultural University which was the first completer of one project and the province also participated in the other five projects.

The Yunnan Agricultural University project is entitled “The Key Technology for Controlling Pests and Diseases through Crop Diversity and Its Applications”. This project was led by a team headed by ZhuYouyong, an academician with the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
