Coca-Cola Bangladesh, a carbonated soft drink beverage company introduced a new Jeera flavoured beverage tilted ‘RimZim’ to provide consumers with homemade beverage formulation into packaged forms.
The launching event of ‘RimZim’ was held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (FDC) in the capital on Sunday.
Speaking at the programme, Managing Director Coca-Cola International Beverages Private Ltd Tapas Kumar Mondal unveiled the reason to launch ‘RimZim’ and said, “To change the taste palate of Bangladeshi people, we have decided to come up with a spicy drink titled ‘RimZim’”
“We want RimZim’ to be recognised as the product of masala (mixed spice) brand of all time in this country”, he said.
Addressing at the launching programme, Shadab Khan said as the consumers’ choices are constantly evolving, it is important for Coca-Cola to add new offerings to its portfolio as it nurture the existing brands.
“With this launch, we hope to bring to Bangladeshi consumers a perfect match to complement the traditional festive Bangali spicy food the country and provide them with a taste of home even while away from home,” he added.
When asked, why it has named RimZim, Shadab Khan said “RimZim is all about fun, familiar, surprisingly refreshing and irresistibly tasty. We look forward to providing more choices to consumers as we go forward” he further said.
Officials said, Pet bottle 250 ml RimZim is the first being rolled out in key towns of Bangladesh at a price of Tk 20 and will soon be available all over the country.
Abdul Momen Beverages CEO Robbert West, Coca-Cola International Beverages Private Ltd director Pankaj Sinha, Moasser Ahmed, Country Marketing Manager, Coca-Cola Bangladesh Ltd. and Mustafizur Rahman, National Cricketer & Brand Ambassador, Coca-Cola Bangladesh Ltd were present at the programme.
