All-rounder Sabbir Rahman Rumman’s finger injury what he sustained at the time of second day skill training is nothing series as Bangladesh team’s technical director Khaled Mahmud Sujan said.
“There is nothing serious,” said Khaled Mahmud Sujan, who is an elected member of the BCB and chairman of its Game Development Committee.
“Sabbir once again bats for a while after his finger was hit with the ball. It might be happened during the practice in cricket. It’s a game of bat and ball. Batsman is to play with ball,” Sujan told media.
“But it is understood from it that we’re toiling hard,” he added.
Earlier, Sabbir was headline for his misbehaviour. For this, he was dropped from the new central contract of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Along with that, he slapped a six-month ban from domestic cricket and fined a hefty financial punishment of Tk 20 lakh.
Expressing his happiness with the players’ fitness, Khaled Mahmud said that he is working with the bowlers what is a matter of bit concerns to him.
“I’m so happy to see the fitness of the players,” he said.
“We’ve started skill training since Thursday. Batsmen are all in form. We’re working a bit more with the bowlers. Always I am thoughtful about our fast bowling. But it’s not that the change what is happened in the last seven-eight days,” he also said.
“But we got to see some changes in their approach and attitude. We have another eight to 10 days in our hands. We’re hopeful of doing better. Our preparation what is being done will also be better further. We’ll play our first match on January 15. We’ll be poised from every aspect,” he added.
