Marking the 40th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) organised a month-long programme with the theme ‘Shilper Aloy Bangabandhu’ featuring exhibition, recitation, commemorative discussion, dance, songs, and film and documentary screening at its premises. As a part of the month-long programme, BSA is currently holding a nine-day solo art exhibition titled ‘Chitrapate Bangabandhu’ by artist Kiriti Ranjan Biswas at Gallery 3, National Art Plaza of BSA from Sunday.
The exhibition is showcasing about 50 artworks on Bangabandhu by artist Kiriti Ranjan Biswas.
Speaker of the Bangladesh Parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest on Sunday. Presided over by Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky, noted artist Rafiqun Nabi, Abul Barak Alvi, eminent economist Prof Abul Barakat and Sammilita Sangskritik Jote president Golam Kuddus attended the opening ceremony as special guests. The festival will remain open to all, until August 31.
