National cricketer Sabbir Rahman allegedly beat up a minor spectator during the final round of the National Cricket League at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi. Match referee Shawkatur Rahman Chinu stated this in his match report and informed an insider of BCB disciplinary committee. Not only that the Rajshahi Division player Sabbir, who was playing the match against Dhaka Metro on that day, also misbehaved with the on-field umpires and match referee when he was called for hearing.

Sources said, a boy aged only 10 or 11 mocked Sabbir during the match after which he took permission from the on field umpires to go out the field for just one minute. On the ploy of going to the washroom but he rather called up the boy and slapped him quite several times. If the allegation is proved, Sabbir may face harsh punishment. The Cricket Operations is also aware of the matter.
