A woman and her two children sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast in Garibullah Shah Housing Society area under Khulsi police station in the port city yesterday. They are living on the first floor of the house of Golam Mohiuddin Babul. All of a sudden fire was break out at their living room at around 11:35am while they were sleeping. The injured are Tanjira Akhter,35, wife of Mehedi Hasan, official of an insurance company, her daughter Tanjina Tahati,13, and son Tanjib Hasan, 8. They were admitted to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital’s (CMCH) burnt unit. Among the injured, Tanjira sustained 80 per cent burns while Tanvir 30 per cent and Tanjina sustained 20 per cent burns, said Dr Azizur Rahman Siddique, Civil Surgeon of Chittagong.
