GAIBANDHA: Construction work of two-storied Karmirhath-NABIC Hospital with four storied foundation has been progressing fast at Khankasharif on Gaibandha-Sadullapur road under Sadar upazila of the district, reports BSS.

Karmirthath, a reputed voluntary organization, is constructing the hospital at outskirts of the district town at the cost of Taka 2.36 crore while NABIC (North American Bangladeshi Islamic Community) is providing the fund, office sources said.

Over 80 percent work had already been completed and the rest work would be finished by December 31, 2017, it is expected.

Abdus Sobhan, president of Karmirhath, said the hospital would have different departments including eye, diabetics, mother and child, and dental. In reply to a question, Abdus Sobhan said initiatives had been taken to provide quality healthcare services to the people at nominal cost.
