The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yesterday announced the 32-member preliminary squad for the upcoming tri-nation ODI series, Test series and T20 International series.

While some new faces were included into squad based on their performance, the notable omission was wicket-keeper batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan who though hasn’t played any international game of late, was the regular feature at least in the preliminary squad.

Sadman Islam Anik and Mahadi Hasan were the entirely two new faces who earlier didn’t make any kind of squad. The likes of Mithun Ali, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Nazmul Islam Opu, Abu Jayed Rahi entered into the fray once again, as it was expected. Bangladesh will start the New Year with a tri-nation series first involving Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, slated to begin from January 15. Then they will play two-match Test and two-match T20 series against Sri Lanka.
