Bangladesh team, who stormed into the final of the SAFF Women’s U-15 Football Championship, is expecting to finish it in same fashion wining the maiden title of the SAFF age group competition.
Bangladesh coach Golam Rabbani Choton and the captain Maria Manda, when put across their expectations said that they want to keep up their momentum of the group-leg matches.
Bangladesh after a flying start with 6-0 victory over Nepal blanked Bhutan by 3-0 and also defeated one of the favourites India by same margin. Choton said that they will try to keep the clean sheet as he advised his disciples be cautious not to concede goal but to score. “I told my girls, to play with same style and same spirit they played the last matches, first they will have to form a compact defense and then to go for goals.”
“Indian team is very strong side, so we will have to play with some plan and will have to chalk out our tactics to face them smoothly.”
“Actually ahead of the tournament we have been in practice and also and prepared the girls for every department, so my message to the player is to be careful not to concede goals.”
Captain Maria Manda, said, “What we played in the last matches will also play with same way and obviously we will play to win.”
“What happened in the last three matches that’s not our concern, we are now focusing on the final match,” said Maria. ”
Maymol Rocky, the counterpart of Golam Rabbani said, “I am happy to be part of the final, it’s always everybody wants to play final so we are one of that team and other team the hosts Bangladesh and we are looking forward to play a good game and hope the crowd, the media and everybody will enjoy the match.”
Indian captain Bannya Kabiraj said, “We are very happy to reach the final. Every team came here to win the match. Maybe last match we failed to win but tried our best. We hope we will play better football in the final.
“Sometime it happens according to the situation. In the last match all the balls were coming to us and we defended so that we failed to make any attack but everyday wouldn’t be same. We must attack tomorrow and we have no pressure."
