Thailand, a popular destination for different purposes, is making the process to obtain visa for Bangladeshis easier, according to sources at the foreign ministry.
More than one lakh Bangladeshis visit Thailand every year for tourism, treatment, business and some other reasons, said an official.
As part of the Thai efforts, two companies instead of one are now processing the visa applications for Thailand.
Earlier, a private company named VFS used to process the Thai visa applications.
But recently, another private company named Saimon Overseas Limited has also been appointed for processing visa applications for the Southeast Asian country.
The operation of the second company is expected to facilitate Bangladeshis to visit Thailand more easily.
Both VFS and Saimon Overseas Limited have offices in Dhaka, Chitagong and Sylhet and would be visitors can submit their applications at all these offices.
The VFS office in Dhaka is situated at AJ Heights, Cha-72/1, Pragati Sarani, Uttar Badda. In Chittagong, they are at Chamber House, Agrabad and Nirvana Inn, Mirza Jungle Road, Ramer Dighir Par in Sylhet.
In Dhaka, Saimon’s office is at Saimon Centre, House 4/A, Road 22, Gulshan.
The offices of Saimon in Chittagong and Sylhet are situated at Ayub Trade Centre, 1263/B, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Road, Agrabad and 1/A, Ananda Tower, Jail Road.
