Later, after the recitation of 25 poems, candles will be lit to remember the dark nights of the Liberation War and to tribute the fallen heroes in 1971. Then, the rest of the poems will be recited following the song performance ‘Shob Kota Janala Khuley Dao Na’.

Shimul Mustapha, who has been performing the art of recitation for over two decades, will adorn the evening with recitations of revolutionary poems, said, “I don’t even know the synchronisation of the poems I am going to recite today. I did not make any preparation for it as I will recite the poems which will come from my heart foremost. I believe the evening will be full of life with people’s appearance.”

The recitation is open to all and parents are requested to bring their children to the event so that they can know about their culture deeply, the reciter himself made the appeal.
