Two college students were killed in a road accident at Charavita on Jessore-Narail road in Bagherpara upazila on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Labib Hossain alias Rajib, 20, son of Touhidur Rahman of Mashimdia village in Narail Sadar upazila, and his friend Pallab, 21. Both of them were Class-XI students of Narail Victoria College.

Quoting witnesses, Md Manjurul Alam, officer-in-charge of Bagherpara Police Station, said the accident took place around 3:15pm when a Narail-bound microbus crashed into the motorcycle of Labib and Pallab while they were going to Jessore by the bike, leaving them critically injured.

Locals rescued them and took them to Jessore Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead, the OC added.
