Panchagrah stun Dhaka

Panchagrah DSA made a surprise entry into the semifinal of Exim Bank 28th National Women Handball Championship when they toppled Dhaka DSA 17-11 in their last group match at Shaheed M Monsur Ali Handball Stadium in the capital yesterday.

Panchagrah, who led the first half 6-2, will now take on Bangladesh Police in the first semifinal today at 2.30pm. Two title aspirants BJMC and Bangladesh Ansar will battle in the second semifinal at 3.30pm.

A total of nine matches were decided on the second day of the championship yesterday. The following were the results”

Bangladesh Police beat  Feni DSA 15-0, Kishoreganj beat Faridpur 11-5, Naogaon beat Jamalpur 19-11, Jessore beat Dinajpur 13-8, Panchagrah beat Narail 22-7, Police beat Kishoreganj 27-7,  Faridpur beat Feni 18-1 and Panchagrah beat Dhaka 17-11.
