Al-Amin needs to correct bowling action

Fast bowler Al-Amin Hossain has found him in wrong situation once again as the bowling action review committee of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) got the proof that he had bent his elbow more than it is allowed.

The ICC permitted 15 degree to bend the elbow while some of the deliveries of Al-Amin went beyond 25 degree, forcing him to go for rehabilitation once again. It is the second time that he is going through a grueling rehab.

Comilla Victorians coach Salahuddin would work with him in correcting his action. Salahuddin earlier worked with left arm spinner Abdur Razzak while his bowling action found to be illegal.

During the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the umpires reported against Al-Amin’s bowling action, prompting bowling action review committee to judge his bowling in the machine.

“After umpires expressed their concern over one of the deliveries of Al-Amin during the BPL, we reviewed the videos of his action in all matches. We found some issues there. We actually saw his elbow bending 25 degree which is illegal,” said Nasir Ahmed Nasu, the video analyst of the bowling review committee.
