Today is the birthday of National Film Award winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo. On the occasion of her birthday, the actress will be spending the day in a homely manner alongside spending a portion of the day with her beloved mother.
Mamo said, “My infinite gratitude to Allah, who gives me a beautiful life. I am also grateful to my parents, for whom I could see the light on the earth. May Allah keep them in good health and happy. I want blessings from everyone so that I can spend the day of my birth in a wonderful manner.”
Without spending time with her mother, the actress does not have any other plans, but she thinks many things can happen. The day can be full of surprises, she added.
Mamo made her silver screen debut with the much-acclaimed film ‘Daruchini Dip’ directed by Tauquir Ahmed, which helped her to win the coveted National Film Award. Her last released film ‘Chuye Dile Mon’ directed by Shihab Shaheen also garnered appreciation among the masses.
However, the actress appeared in just a few films and wants to win the National Film Award again with her performance as she realises the value of the award.
The actress diligently takes on challenging characters and merging herself with the character. Alta is a character just like that. The actress will be seen in Arun Chowdhury’s debut directorial venture titled ‘Alta Banu’, where she is playing the titular role of Alta.
Besides the actress has finished shooting of the film ‘Swapnabari’ directed by Tanim Rahman Aungshu as well.
In both of the films, she is opposite popular actor Anisur Rahman Milon.
About her upcoming films, Mamo said, “Simply speaking ‘Alta Banu’ is good film as well as ‘Swapnabari’. I am immensely hopeful about both films and I have tried to portray the characters appropriately.”
As her birthday comes to end, Mamo will be busy with the shooting of Goutam Koiri’s drama serial ‘Ekdin Proggar Din’.
