Nat’l Red Crescent Youth Camp begins today in Gazipur

The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society organizes a 4-day long the 13th National Red Crescent Youth Camp 2017 at Mouchk Gazipur from today with the theme- ‘Youth Leadership-towards an Enlightened World’. The camp will end on December 21, says a press release. More than 1,000 Red Crescent Youth (RCY), volunteers, Red Crescent teacher representatives, district and national head quarter level Red Crescent officials are participating in the camp this year. President Abdul Hamid has given his kind consent to inaugurate event today at the Osmani Memorial Hall Auditorium in the capital. Mohammed Nasim, MP, Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Prof. Dr. Md. Habibe Millat, MP, Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and Member, IFRC Governing Board will be present on the inaugural session as special guests.

Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar, Chairman, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society will grace the ceremony as chair of the inaugural session.

On  Thursday evening, Meher Afroze Chumki, State Minister for Woman and Children Affairs, will grace the closing ceremony on Thursday as chief guest.

Zahid Ahsan Russell, MP Gazipur -2, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Youth and Sports Ministry, Prof. Dr. Md. Habibe Millat, MP, Vice-chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and Member, IFRC Governing Board and Advocate Tauhidur Rahman, Treasurer, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society will be present there as special guests of honour. Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar, chairman, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society will chair the closing ceremony.
