Former Bangladesh cricketers like every year will play a traditional but friendly match to mark the Victory Day today.

The exhibition match, a T20 affair, will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) at 10:30am.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) meanwhile released the names of the players, who will play the match, splitting into two groups-Shaheed Jewel XI and Shaheed Mushtaque.

Mushtaque Ahmed, a veteran sports organiser of the pre-independence of Bangladesh, was killed by the occupied Pakistani soldiers at the night of March 25. Abdul Halim Chowdhury Jewel, a cricketer and ‘gorilla muktijoddha’, on the other hand was killed while he was in custody of Pakistani soldiers before the independence of Bangladesh.
