Two young actresses of the recent times, Urmila Srabanti Kar, Irin Afrose and seasoned actor Azad Abul Kalam have come together in one frame for the first time. The trio will be seen sharing screen in a new drama serial tiled ‘Countdown’ directed by Sakal Ahmed. The three popular artistes have played crucial roles in the drama serial, where Azad Abul Kalam has enacted a character named Rahman, a detective officer from the Police. Besides, Urmila Srabanti Kar has portrayed the character of Urmi and Irin Afrose has acted in the role of Ira.
Sakal Ahmed said about the story of the drama serial, “A team from a corporate office goes to Malaysia for vacation. However, for an unknown reason, the team begins to lose its members one after another mysteriously. With a situation like this, the story moves forward.
Dhaka Live has news that after completing shooting in Malaysia recently, the rest of the parts of drama’s shooting is currently underway at different locations in the capital.
Azad Abul Kalam said, “The part of the drama where I acted was very intriguing. The shooting of my part was completed in a wonderful set. Besides, Sakal Ahmed works with due care. Sakal Ahmed is making the drama serial ‘Countdown’ with utmost care. I hope the audience will like it.”
Urmila Srabanti Kar said, “Sakal Ahmed is an established director. I worked with him in a tele-drama before. Although I have worked very less with him, our relationship is quite fine. Now, I am working in a drama serial under his direction for the first time. He always works in an organised way. Moreover, he takes care of the artistes and their problems. I really liked the story ‘Countdown’ and very optimistic about the drama serial.”
Irin Afrose shared her thought, “Azad Abul Kalam is a very high-profile actor and I am enjoying the opportunity of working with him a lot. To me, he himself is an institution of acting. Working alongside him is a matter of good fortune for an artiste like me.”
The drama serial ‘Countdown’ will start telecasting on a satellite TV channel soon, director Sakal Ahmed informed. l
