Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) tournament committee decided to kick-start the rest round of the National Cricket League (NCL) just after the conclusion of the over month-long Twenty20 Tournament of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
As the per decision, the sixth and last round fixture of the National Cricket League (NCL) for the 2016-2017 season will resume after two and-half-a-months hiatus at four different venues across the country on December 20.
The board will soon release the fixture and venues of the sixth round games.
It is learnt that the decision has been taken because of the national team’s camp, which is likely to begin on December 27 ahead of the upcoming back-to-back tournament and series at home turf in between January and February.
If they could not start the league in the mentioned period then the rest round of the games will have to play without the national team’s players. But the board is seeking that all the national players could join the camp playing the league’s last round games.
