Earlier on Monday, the former civil surgeon was sentenced to three months imprisonment by the mobile court, led by Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M Nuruzzaman, for allegedly assaulting Sheikh Morshedul. Dr Salauddin and Morshedul went to kindergarten Kakoli Shishu Angan in the district town to pick up their sons around 10:15am.

The duo locked into a brawl following shoving at the crowded school gate. At one stage of brawl, the ADC slapped the retired civil surgeon and he also retaliated by doing the same.

Later, police detained Dr Salauddin and produced him before the mobile court which handed down the verdict. Meanwhile, a Laxmipur court on Tuesday granted bail to the former civil surgeon on a bond of Tk 5,000.
