Md Kamrul Hasan Selim, director of Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital has been made officer on special duty (OSD), without citing any allegation against him. The authorities in this regard issued a letter on Thursday afternoon along with a transfer order for him. He was replaced by Dr Nizamul Islam Faruk on the same night. SBMCH sources said a letter of health ministry reached Barisal Sher E bangla Medical College Hospital office on Thursday afternoon. Md Kamrul Hasan Selim has been transferred to Dhaka Mohakhali health department office as officer on special duty while and Dr Shahidul Islam, deputy director of SBMCH, will take over the charge of acting CS, the letter stated. Dr Nizamul Islam Faruk will take over the charge of the director of SBMCH replacing Kamrul Hasan, the letter also read. Dr Binoy Krishna Biswas, Deputy Director, Health of Barisal division acknowledging the orders said that it was a regular process in government services.
