‘March 7 speech one of greatest speeches of  history’

PABNA: Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif yesterday termed the historic March 7 speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as one of the greatest speeches of the history of the world, reports BSS.

He made the comment while attending the jubilant procession as part of the countrywide programme on the occasion of the Unesco recognition of the historic March 7 speech of Bangabandhu. Sherif said the March 7 speech of Bangabandhu united and inspired the Bangalee nation to join the War of Liberation to free the country from the occupation forces.

“We got an independent Bangladesh as Bangabandhu dedicated his life for emancipation of Bangalee nation from all sorts of deprivation and oppression,” he added.

Leaders and activists of Ishwardi upazila of Pabna district attended the jubilant procession.
