Taslim Uddin Chowdhury, editor of The Daily Purbokone, published from port city Chittagong, died yesterday in a hospital of capital Dhaka at the age of 63.
He left behind wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He was suffering from long-term disorders.
He was made editor of daily on February 1, 1989.
After finishing primary education from St. Mary's and St. Placid School, he completed higher secondary education from Fuzdarhat Cadet College. Then he completed Bachelor degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) on Architecture.
Chittagong Press Club, Chittagong Journalists Association and Metropolitan Journalists Union leaders expressed profound shock at the death of Purbokone editor.
