Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a regular taxpayer received the income tax card from the National Board of Revenue (NBR) yesterday, reports UNB.

Senior Secretary of the Internal Resources Division (IRD) and NBR Chairman Md Nojibur Rahman handed over the income tax card to the Prime Minister at the very outset of the day's regular weekly meeting of the cabinet held at the Prime Minister's Office.

Briefing reporters after the meeting at the Bangladesh Secretariat, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set up a bright example through paying income tax regularly since the 1982-82 tax year.
