The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday approved a proposal for submitting a charge-sheet against a former general manager of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Limited (TGTDL) in a graft case, reports UNB.
The commission approved the charge-sheet at its regular meeting on Sunday, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) investigator and deputy director Selina Akhter will submit the charge-sheet before a Dhaka court against former TGTDL general manager Md Manzurul Haque in a day or two, he said.
On January 4, 2017, ACC deputy director Sheikh Abdus Salam filed a case against him with Ramna Police Station under the Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2004.
According to the case statement, the ACC's probe found that Manzurul Haque accumulated illegal wealth worth over Tk 80 lakh and concealed wealth of over Tk 60 lakh in his wealth statement earlier submitted to the Commission.
