Recitation troupe Kalporup has completed its first year of successful journey recently. To mark the first anniversary, Kalporup staged a play titled ‘Tiner Tolowar’ at the Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium of Central Public Library in the capital on October 31.

Sammilita Sangskritik Jote President Golam Kuddus was present as chief guest at the discussion programme of the founding anniversary, while Poet Muhammad Nurul Huda attended the event as honorary guest and Abritti Samannay Parishad Joint Secretary Maskur A Sattar Kollol and Principal of Kanthoshilon Mir Barkat were present as special guests. President of Kalporup Kazi Koel presided over the discussion programme.

Written by Utpal Dutt and directed by Nazmul Ahsan Tarun, the different characters in the play ‘Tiner Tolowar’ were enacted by Nazmul Ahsan Tarun, Shawon Hasnat, Kazi Koel, Kazi Ayon, Umme Hani Shoily, Nilufar Yasmin Happy, Moniruzzaman Ratul, Animesh Raiyan, Aklima Akter Eti and Jahid Islam.

To note, during its first year, Kalporup produced four complete productions and hold a successful workshop on recitation.
