Protesting the attack on Khaleda Zia convoy on the Dhaka-Chitagong highway, Barisal district and city units jointly organized a protest rally on its office premises at Sadar road Barisal. The rally presided over by district BNP president Ebaydul Haque Chand.   It was addressed among others by district BNP secretary Abul Kalam Shahin, City BNP secretary Ziauddin Sikdar and others. Speakers called peopled to get ready for an anti government movement. After the rally city and district Juba Dal and Chhatra Dal tried to brought out protest procession but failed.
