Rabindra Sangeet singer Salma Akbar and Sajed Akbar will perform at a musical soiree to be held today at the Kanthashilon office in the capital’s New Elephant Road. The duo will perform at the 45th meeting of ‘Khamkheyali Sabha’. Before the musical soiree, a discussion meeting will be held, where Dhaka University professor Dr Aminul Islam will be present as the main discussant. Member of Khamkheyali Sabha Hasan Saleh Joy will read out an essay.

Salma Akbar trained in Rabindra Sangeet under legends such as Late Karim Sharafi, Sanjida Khatun, Sadi Mohammad, Rezwana Chowdhury Banna.

On the other hand, Sajed Akbar is the son of the renowned politician and Muktijoddha parents, Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury and Gholam Akbar Chowdhury.
