On the afternoon of October 18, Pakistani reporter Muhammad Samuel rushed back to the Diplomatic Residence Compound, his temporary residence in Beijing. He hoped to write a news story for his Pakistani readers about the Report issued at the 19th CPC National Congress.
After the Report of the 19th CPC National Congress was delivered that morning, it immediately drew global attention and was widely covered by leading media outlets.
“This is a super-open facet of the Communist Party of China,” Samuel said. It seems that Samuel has found a unique perspective to see the solutions of Pakistan’s development issues.
“Pakistan has four big provinces whose development are imbalanced,” Samuel said. “The Report refers to a coordinated regional development strategy, and includes both the large-scale development of the country’s western region and the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei complex. These are very important development ideas. Behind the balanced development is the concept of shared development,” he said.
Kimeng Hilton, editor-in-chief for the international edition of the Cameroon Tribune, saw the importance of maintaining the spirit of reform and innovation in a rapidly changing world. “The report mentions that China has been expanding the breadth and depth of its reform for the past five years. Over that time, the country has introduced more than 1,500 reform initiatives, which shows the spirit of reform and innovation,” he said.
