Recently, the 23rd World Air Route Conference was held in Barcelona, Spain. There, Yunnan-based Lucky Air signed cooperative agreements with a number of international airports, including those in Helsinki and St. Petersburg. The agreements aim to opening new air routes between Kunming and Helsinki, as well as Chengdu and St. Petersburg.
The Chengdu-St. Petersburg route will open in November of this year, and will be flown by A330-300 airplanes.
Flights between Kunming and St. Petersburg will be available at the beginning of next year.
This move is a new step taken by Lucky Air in expanding its Eastern European market share after opening the Kunming-Moscow route.
