Mosammat Nurunnahar Begum, mother of State Minister for Textiles and Jute and AL Central Working Committee Member Mirza Azam, died of old-age complications at Square Hospital in the capital this morning, reports BSS from Jamalpur. She was 81. She left behind six sons, two daughters and grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death. She will be buried at the family graveyard in Madarganj upazila in the district after Isha prayers.
Her first Namaz-e-Janaza was held in front of NAM Bhaban after Zohr prayers, second Namaz-e-Janaza will be held on Kacharipara Shahi Mosque premises in the district town this evening and her third Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Balizury High School field in Madarganj upazila. Prime Minister and Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina yesterday expressed deep shock at the death of Mosammat Nurunnahar Begum, mother of State Minister for Textiles and Jute and AL Central Working Committee Member Mirza Azam.
In a condolence message, the prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family. Among others, law minister Anisul Huq yesterday expressed shock at the death of Nurunnahar Begum (81), mother of State Minister for Textiles and Jute and AL Central Working Committee member Mirza Azam.
