Like yesterday, six plays will be staged today on the fifth day of ‘6th National Youth Theatre Festival 2017’ on the premises of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the capital today. People’s Theatre Association (PTA), in association with BSA, has organised the six-day festival.
Today, Krishan Theatre (Sher-e Bangla Agriculture University, Dhaka) will stage ‘Mayajal’, while Sirajganj’s Natya Niketor will stage ‘Bat Gachhe Bhut’, Theatre and Performance Studies, Dhaka University will stage ‘Shikor O Shaka’, Vivekananda Theatre (Dhaka) will stage ‘Bisarjan’, Bangla Natyam Jubo Theatre (Narsingdi) will stage ‘Ekda Ek Gorib Lok’ and Kabya Bilas will stage ‘Jol Jibon’.
A total of nine groups from different universities and colleges and 18 groups from all over the country are taking part in the six-day event.
The festival features as many as 32 stage plays and the show of staging play begins every day from 6:30pm. Every day, dramas are being staged at the Studio Theatre Hall and National Music and Dance Auditorium of BSA simultaneously. l
