Police recovered a hanging body of a woman at Khajura, near Kuakata tourist resort, yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Shefali Begum, 45, an inhabitant of Khajura Ashrayan project under Latachapli union in Kalapara upazila. Police said being informed from local people Kuakata outpost police found the body hanging from a branch roadside tree, four kilometers faraway from Khajura Ashrayan project. Maniruzzaman, in-charge of Mahipur police outpost, said police sent the body to hospital morgue for post mortem.
