4 electrocuted in C’nawabganj, Jamalpur

At least four persons died after being electrocuted in separate incidents in Chapainawabganj and Jamlapur districts. Of the dead, three cattle traders died after being electrocuted in Chapainawaganj and shopkeeper in Jamalpur.
In Chapainawabganj, three cattle traders were electrocuted at Sonaichandihat in Nachole upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Wednesday evening. The deceased  were identified as Alamgir, 40, of Nazarpur village under Gomostapur upazila in the district, Nazrul Islam, 50 of Shahjadpur in Sirajganj district and Haji Salim, 55, of Dupchachia in Bogra district. Police said, the victims while trying to tie the cows in the shed at around 7 pm, came in  contact with an iron bar of a window which was electrified and died. SI Nazrul Islam of Nachole police station said on getting information they went to the spot but the relatives of the victims took the bodies home.
In Jamalpur a shopkeeper, identified as Swapon Bishwas, 22, of Daspara village in the upazila got electrocuted in Bakshiganj upazila of the district on the same day while trying to remove torn electricity wires from in front of his shop at Daser Hat Bazar in the upazila yesterday morning. He was first rushed to Bakshiganj health complex and later shifted to Jamalpur General Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead.
