The Management Information Systems (MIS) Department team started its campaign in the Inter-Departmental Football Tournament of Dhaka University with the slogan ‘Stop Killing Human’ printed on the jerseys of the players at the Dhaka University Central Playground on September 19, says a press release.

The tournament started on September 18. MIS ended their opening match in a scoreless draw against the International Business Department.  

“Humanity is facing destruction all over the world at present. The brotherhood expressed during the matches on the playground would spread everywhere in the world,” Asif Imtiaz, a lecturer of the department, said at the end of the game.

Rezaul Karim, captain of MIS team, added: “As a conscientious student of Dhaka University, we can never accept such lawlessness. 1952, ’69 and ’71 are actual proof. We thought that this is a (good) way of protesting against all kinds of global instability.”
