Three people were killed in separate clashes in Sunamganj and Faridpur yesterday, report agencies.
In Sunamganj : Two villagers were killed and at least 20 others injured in a clash between two groups of villagers in Dowarabazar upazila yesterday morning over previous enmity.
The deceased were identified as Moazzem, a resident of Sarishpur village and Ebadullah, 60, a resident of Berigaon village.
Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Dowarabazar Police Station, said there had been longstanding dispute between the villagers of Sarishpur and Rezigaon
village.
Over the enmity, the villagers locked in a fierce clash in the morning, leaving two villagers dead on the spot and 20 others injured.
Additional police team was deployed in the area to bring the situation under control, added the OC.
In Faridpur: A man was killed in a clash that took place between two rival groups at Khuduria village under Nagarkanda upazila yesterday morning.
The deceased is Rabiul Molla, 26, son of Hobi Molla, a resident of the same
area.
Officer-in-charge of Nagarkanda Police Station AFM Nasim said the clash ensued in the morning between two groups of the village over a trivial matter.
During the clash, the rival group stabbed Rabiul with sharp weapon and he died on the spot. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
