The Election Commission's (EC's) 3rd phase dialogues with eight political parties begin today with talks with Oikyabodha Nagorik Andolan and Bangladesh Jatiya Party (Matin) first, reports UNB. The Commission on August 24 last started its dialogues with 40 registered political parties to receive their opinions over the EC's preparation for the next general election. So far, 10 parties joined the dialogues -- five each in 1st phase (August 24 to 30) and 2nd phase (September 10-14). But the two parties did not take part in the EC's talks. The talks with Oikyabodha Nagorik Andolan will be held at 11am, while that with Bangladesh Jatiya Party (Matin) at 3pm at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the city with Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda in the chair, said Director (PR) at the EC Secretariat SM Asaduzzaman.
Besides, the dialogues with Bangladesh National Awami Party (Bangladesh Nap) and PDP will be held on September 18, while that with Gano Front and Gano Forum on September 20 and Jamiate Ulama-e Islam Bangladesh and NPP on September 21.
