Nigerian striker Ismail Bangura Nigerian headed home the match winner early in the 10th minute utilizing an Arup Baidhya cross. By virtue of the win, Mohammedan brought  their tally to 37 points from 19 matches. Chittagong Abahani forced formidable Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra to share points in the other match at M A Aziz Stadium in Chittagong. The match ended in a goalless draw.
