Police recovered the body of a woman from Tara village in Ghior upazila yesterday morning.

The deceased was identified as Renu Rani Dom, wife of Sudhir Chandra Dom, a resident of Jabra village of the upazila. Local people said they found the body and informed police. Police sent the body to Manikganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The body bore several marks of injuries, said police. Officer-in-charge of Ghior Police Station Rabiul Islam said Renu Rani was missing since Thursday after she went to a local bazaar.
