Water levels at 27 river stations monitored by the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises while 56 stations recorded fall while seven are steady, reports BSS.  Among the 90 monitored water level stations, nine rivers are above danger level, a bulletin issued by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) said yesterday.

The Brahmaputra and Kushiyara rivers are in steady state, while the Jamuna and Surma rivers are in rising trend. The Ganga-Padma river is in falling trend.

The Brahmaputra river is likely to remain steady, while the Jamuna river is likely to continue rising in next 24 hours.

The Ganges-Padma River is likely to continue falling in next 72 hours. The Surma-Kushiyara Rivers are likely to remain steady in next 24 hours.

A total of 110 mm rainfall was recorded at Chittagong, 84.7 mm at Bandarban, 49 mm at Sylhet and 40 mm at Sherpur-Sylhet station during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am yesterday.
