A case was filed with a local court in Pabna yesterday against six young men for gang-raping two schoolgirls at Char Bhabanipur village in Sujanagar upazila and uploading the video clip of the nefarious act on the internet, reports UNB. The victims filed the case with the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal against Hazrat Ali, 26, Al Amin, 25, Shahin, 24, Mithun, 26, Panku, 27, and Sohel Rana, 28, all residents of the village.

Judge of the tribunal Imran Hossain Chowdhury ordered police to arrest the accused. Victims' counsel Rajiullah Sardar Ranju said the case was filed with the court as the police station concerned did not record it.

According to the case statement, the accused gang-raped the two girls on August 1 while they were returning home from school.
