An exhibition of artworks on the August 21 grisly grenade attacks in 2004 will be held at the Shilpakala Academy in the city today, reports BSS. The exhibition titled ‘Behind the Grenade’ will start at 5:30 pm and will continue till 10 pm. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has made the artworks on the barbaric grenade attack on an Awami League rally on August 21 in 2004.
“We have taken all-out preparations to display the artworks,” Shilpakala Academy Fine Arts Division Director Md Moniruzzaman told BSS. He said the artworks have been prepared on different aspects of the barbaric terror attack on August 21. The artworks will highlight the tragic events of the grenade attack, he added.
The gruesome grenade attack was carried out on an anti-terrorism rally of Awami League (AL) at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital killing 24 people and injured about 500 others.
