JOYPURHAT: About 201 families of two villages under Sadar upazila in the district have been brought under rural electrification network by Joypurhat Palli Bidyut Samity (JPBS) yesterday morning, reports BSS. A simple function was also held on the premises of Niktipara Mosque in Dalahar union of the upazila.

Advocate Shamsul Alam Dudu MP formally inaugurated the electrification programme at the villages of Niktipara and Rasulpur of the upazila as the chief guest.

President of the union Awami League Rafikul Islam presided over the function.

Deputy general manager of JPBS engineer M Shafikul Alam, general secretary Jalal Sarker and Rasulpur UP chairman Zahidul Alam Benu addressed the function, among others.
