Asif Akbar, Lopa together in ‘Atta Songi’ controversy

Popular singer Asif Akbar has lent his voice for the title song of ‘Close Up One’ singer Lopa Hossain’s third solo album ‘Atta Songi’.

Lopa Hossain had a desire to work with Asif and it came true through the album as Asif is always friendly to new singers. The duo has already recorded their maiden duet for the album’s title song.

Lopa is set to release the album on August 5, her first anniversary of marriage with Sirajum Munir.

Atta Songi will be released under the banner of Laser Vision. There will be six songs in the latest album and Sirajum Munir has written and tuned all of those. JK Mojlish has directed the music.

Talking about the experience of working with Lopa Hossain, Asif said, “This is the first time I have worked with Lopa and Munir. The song has a unique melody. I have sung many duets, but Atta Songi’s melody was something really new.”

“Lopa is a good singer and she performed well. Hopefully the listeners will accept the song with interest,” he added.

“It was a dream to sing with Asif bhai and finally it has come true. I am thankful to Asif Akbar. The song has been made for all types of listeners,” an elated Lopa said.

The shooting for the duet number’s music video will begin soon.

Lopa Hossain released her first solo ‘Aari’ in 2007 and second solo ‘Ashar Bhela’ in 2013.
