The government has taken initiatives to develop the country’s human resources by setting a target to generate employments for one crore people aiming to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reports BSS.
“Skilled human resource and employment are essential to achieve SDGs. We have taken various steps to develop skills of 26 lakh unemployed youths for providing them with jobs,” State Minister for Labour and Employment M Mujibul Haque told the news agency.
He underscored the need for increasing the participation of private sector to ensure proper education and health for the people as those are vital issues for skill development.
National Skills Development Council (NSDC) Director Mohammad Rejaul Karim said NSDC is working to ensure standard training through the organisations under different ministries.
NSDC will take an initiative to provide employments to one crore people by ensuring proper training through different training institutions under 22 ministries and 35 agencies, said an NSDC official.
