Construction works of a two-kilometre long drainage system from Lalbag Rail Gate to Tazhat Ashratpur areas under Ward No-28 in Rangpur city at the cost of Taka 5.23 crore has begun.

Mayor of Rangpur Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu launched construction of the drainage system by unveiling plaque in a ceremony at Sultan Nagar area by the side of the drain today afternoon as the chief guest.
