Sheikh Iraj
Many of us do not like to eat farm chicken, mainly due to the fact that it tastes bland, compared to the delicious taste of our country chicken. Now, here is recipe that adds pickle to the chicken to give the dish a little more flavour. It can be any kind of homemade pickle, or you can use pickles bought from the market. I, personally, prefer spicy mango pickle.
Ingredients
Farm chicken pieces 1kg
Chopped onions 1 cup
Salt 1 tablespoon, or to taste
Ginger powder or paste 1 tbsp
Garlic powder or paste 1 tbsp
Pickle 4 tbsp
Cooking oil 1 cup
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients together, except the cooking oil. Coat the chicken with the mixture. Let it marinate for two hours.
Method
Heat the cooking oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken pieces. Cook on medium heat for 45 minutes, and only add water if it starts sticking to the pan.
When done, serve with plain rice, paratha or naan.
